‘Doc of the Month:’ Dr. Judy Levison

The Me & My OBG doctor of the month is Judy Levison, MD, MPH. of  Houston, Texas. Dr. Levison is an Associate Professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology, at the Baylor College of Medicine and is Physician Coordinator of OB/GYN care for HIV-positive women in the Harris Health System.

Picture 123Dr. Levison has dedicated her career to helping Texas women living with HIV. She often counsels groups of pregnant moms who have HIV and are taking medication for HIV, all of whom know they will all have uninfected babies. Dr. Levison recently announced that she and others have launched the first in the U.S. CenterPregnancy (group prenatal care) program for women with HIV and says that, ‘the women are amazing.’

Dr. Levison graduated from the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She speaks English, Spanish, and German, and is a native of South Orange, NJ.
